Over the last 25 years, there are those who have made a huge impact by way of guidance and support of my photographic endeavors. Many of those great people are either still on the job, or are enjoying the rewards of retirement. Some, sadly, have passed on. This little section honors friends who have left us too soon.

Frayne Church, of Englehart, who passed away, as a result of an accident, at the Sudbury Regional Hospital on June 25, 2003.
Frayne was very friendly, very outgoing, and went out of his way constantly to ensure that I was able to have any 'inside scoop' in Cochrane Yard and beyond. To this day, he is missed by many.

Mitch, a fellow railfan and a 13 year veteran member of Ontario Northland's Rail Crews passed away suddenly on June 9, 2018.
His funeral held in New Liskeard Ontario was attended by literally hundreds showing just how much of an impact Mitch had on the lives of co-workers, friends, and family. You'll never be forgotten

Stephen Thompson, a very good friend who renewed my admiration of railroad photography and model railroading when I returned to Cochrane back in 2000. He loved the hobby and soon I was surrounded by his many friends who also shared his passion for the hobby. These friends I still connect with to this very day.

Phil was one of the most giving people I knew. Nobody did more to help man or beast, not just with money, but his own hard work than Phil. I had the honor of teaming up with Phil and his brother Steve creating a classic rock show on local radio for years. I've never met anyone like Phil, and I know I never will.

The gentle giant who's comedic timing was as good as we was tall. I can't even begin to tell the many wonderful stories about Bill from all the great times on the Polar Bear Excursion, to rides on the Log Train, to just some of the great chats we've had over the years. You're a great man Bill, to all who knew you.

Dave is a legend in the world of railfanning. People from everywhere have made their way to his layout in Cochrane to see his modelling craftsmanship. Dave always loved chatting and would make the trek daily to the 4th Street crossing in Cochrane with coffee in hand to bid the Polar Bear crew a good morning.
