FEATURED "PIC OF THE DAY" MAY 5, 2017
We're at Cochrane Shops May 5th as we see newly built chain car 100507 rolled out from the shops and ready for testing. The car was originally a TTX 89 foot flat originally built in May 1967. After a complete stripping and replacement of the car's decking and key components, adding new safety features, and implementing a new revolutionary automobile tie down system that focuses on using strapping rather than using chains which the term "chain car" originates, 100507 now stands ready for a test trip on May 9th's Polar Bear to Moosonee and back. 2 ONR trucks will be tied down to the car using the new strapping system with the car's performance being monitored throughout the trip.
